The world’s first EVER pet Paralympic-style games launch in the UK this summer for what is set to be an un-fur-gettable event.
As the (human) Paralympics commences on 24th August, dogs up and down the country will be training for The Petsure Games to ensure they are up to snuff.
The Petsure Games, which will be held at the Bath & West Country Festival from 27- 29th August 2021, is calling all dog owners to bring their pooches – regardless of size, shape or ability – and get their paws in gear for the most inclusive of animal sporting events ever held.
The Petsure Games will be three days of barking mad furry fun. Set in the heart of one of the UK’s best-loved country shows, the Games have been designed with world-class agility coaches to be suitable for dogs from all walks of life – whether elderly, disabled, or those with pre-existing health conditions.
From jumpless jumps to accommodate our less abled pets and a scent-based fetch for visually impaired pups there is truly something for everyone at this ultimutt event. Humans will love the day too with photo-ops aplenty and lots of yummy food and drink on offer.
Special guests include doggy diva and Instagram sensation Puggy Smalls, Tazzie the Three-Legged Boxer who’ll be strutting her stuff at the weaving poles, and Slinky the Cockapoo who has been busy working on her sniff and fetch.
Legendary commentator Henry Blofeld OBE will swap cricket for canines to give hilarious commentary whilst TV vet Dr Scott Miller and industry leading dog trainers will be on hand for interviews and top-notch advice. Both have been involved with advising on the course too – ensuring everything is as safe and fun as possible for our four-legged friends!
So, why not joint in, take pictures, enjoy the festival and take along your pups for what is guaranteed to be a tail-wagging, paw-some day.
