Singer-song writer ‘suppawts’ Dogs Trust Evesham on tour

A singer-song writer who was Amazon’s Breakthrough Artist of 2021 is putting his musical talents to good use by raising money for Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity.

Frazer Lepford has been singing and playing the guitar since the age of 18, and his love of dogs dates back even further than that.

Now, as he gets ready to embark on a tour of the Cotswolds throughout September and releases his new single at the start of the month, the 27-year-old has decided to combine his two passions in life to support Dogs Trust after visiting Dogs Trust Evesham recently.

Full-time musician, Frazer, says: “My two great loves are music and dogs! My family has had dogs in the past and one was a beautiful rescue Labrador called Lulu who loved a good belly rub. I’ve never forgotten her, and our family dogs made me a dog-lover for life.

“I visited Dogs Trust Evesham recently and the facilities were fantastic, but it was heart-breaking to see so many dogs needing homes. So, I’ve decided that I’m going to give something back and my September tour will be raising money for Dogs Trust.”

Frazer, who lives in Prestbury and has also decided to apply to become a volunteer at Dogs Trust Evesham, will be playing at dog-friendly venues throughout the Cotswolds every Monday and Tuesday of the month including The Toast in Flyford Flavell, The Albion in Tewkesbury, the Pickled Plum in Pershore and the Townhouse in Stratford.

He will be accepting donations and giving 100% of the proceeds of any merchandise sales, to the charity too. He also has a Just Giving page for those who can’t make it to the concerts.

Chris Slight, Manager at Dogs Trust Evesham, says: “We are absolutely delighted that Frazer is raising money for Dogs Trust. As far as I’m aware it’s the first time a musician has taken to the stage for us in this way and given Frazer’s following and success it’s great that it will get people talking about Dogs Trust across the region too.

“I’m sure some of the team members from the centre will go along and we hope dog lovers and dog owners, and dogs of course, will enjoy a great night out whilst helping dogs who have yet to find families of their own.”
