Local animal lover and dog mum of two, Charlotte Arnold, has left her career as an events manager in the finance industry to chase her one true passion – pets. Having grown up surrounded by animals, the launch of Petpals is a dream come true for Charlotte.
“Animals, big and small, have always been a huge part of my life,” Charlotte shared. “I’ve had labradors since forever and, even though they were working dogs, they were pampered like royalty at home! They were truly family, and that’s where my deep love for animals began. We also had ferrets, a rabbit, hamsters and fish. In our house, animals definitely outnumbered the humans!”
When her search for a dependable pet sitter for her two labradors, Lola and Tia, came up short, Charlotte decided to take matters into her own hands. “I’ve always dreamed of running my own pet care business, but I figured I’d have to wait until later in life to make it happen,” explained Charlotte.
“But when I saw how much the community needed a reliable pet care service, my partner and I realised there’s no perfect time to chase your dreams. So, we decided to take the leap and start Petpals. And the rest, as they say, is history!”
As an avid animal lover, Charlotte is committed to building a service that Sidcup residents can trust – just as she would for her own beloved labradors. “It takes a lot for me to trust someone to look after Lola and Tia. I need to know the pet carer’s experience, ensure they’re fully insured, licensed and knowledgeable.
“It frustrates me how many people offer pet care without proper credentials. I want to educate people on the right and wrong ways to handle animals and highlight the importance of premium pet care.
