Petributes, the West Sussex based supplier to the pet sector, has announced that its popular Wooden Heart Keepsakes will now be carved from beech.
Beech offers a fine, straight and even grain, ensuring a much more high-quality finish, and a beautiful foundation for engraving.
Petributes’ Wooden Hearts are part of the company’s keepsake range of memorial products, designed to hold in the palm of the hand to keep a comforting reminder of a pet close by. Each has been designed to discreetly hold a tiny quantity of ashes, along with photos and other small mementos and can be personalised with engraving of motifs, messages and dates. The innovative design of the heart urn slides open with a rotating action and has a discreet and secure magnetic “click” closure. Mementos are protected beneath clear perspex screens and can be concealed by placing a photo or personalised plaque above.
The move to beech supports Petributes‘ sustainability goals; the consistency of the finish helps to significantly reduce wastage. The product is also now supplied in a totally biodegradable natural card recycled box, in a move away from the original coloured packaging which contained ink and was covered in a thin plastic film.
