Waggy tails all round as Member of the Senedd meets VIPS (Very Important Pooches) during visit to Dogs Trust Cardiff.
Member of the Senedd for South East Wales, Natasha Asghar, visited Dogs Trust Cardiff last week (Thursday 10th February) and was greeted by wagging tails from the pooches looking for new homes.
It was Natasha’s first ever tour of Dogs Trust’s newest rehoming centre in Cardiff, where she met a number of dogs currently awaiting their forever homes including Terrier Charlie and Boris, the rehoming centre’s Springer Spaniel sponsor dog.
Following the visit Simon Cutts, Training and Behaviour Advisor at Dogs Trust Cardiff, said: “We were delighted to welcome Natasha to our rehoming centre to show her the work we do for the dogs in our care. Like all of us at Dogs Trust Cardiff, it is wonderful that Natasha also cares so deeply about animal welfare and it was a fantastic opportunity to show her the hard work and dedication that goes on behind the scenes to prepare dogs for their forever homes.”
Natasha Asghar MS, commented:“I really enjoyed visiting Dogs Trust Cardiff, and it is fantastic to see how hard the staff work to ensure that all of the dogs in their care are incredibly well looked after. I was impressed by the passion and enthusiasm that Dogs Trust staff have for the well-being of their canine residents and the way they go above and beyond to rehome so many unwanted dogs across South Wales and beyond.”
