Left in the lurch, loveable Lilly seeks fur-ever home

Loveable Lilly arrived at Dogs Trust West London as a stray in June after having a litter of puppies earlier this year.

After a tough start to life, she is looking for owners with lots of time to give her to help her settle into home life as it is likely she has never been in a home environment before.

When Lilly first arrived at the Harefield rehoming centre, she was very wary of new people, especially men but she has come out of her shell over the past few months and now has a good bond with the Canine Carers.

Lilly has lots of tail-wagging friends at the centre, however, can sometimes be unsure of how to interact with them.

This cute Collie is hoping for a special someone with previous experience of the breed who will understand her traits and be willing to let her build confidence in her own time.

Loud noises such as traffic and fireworks can scare Lilly, so ideally, she would live in a quiet location where she can have access to the garden to take herself off to explore when she feels overwhelmed.

Given time and patience, Lily will make a wonderful companion and realise that the world isn’t so scary as long as she has her special someone by her side.

Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Manager, Richard Moore, said: “We have seen Lilly come on leaps and bounds over the past few months and we are excited to see how she continues to improve. She really deserves to find a loving home who has the time to let her settle down after such a tough start to life as a stray.

“Lilly loves nothing more than a long, quiet walk exploring all the sniffs and smells so is looking for someone who shares her love of walking and exploring the great outdoors.”
