Dogs Trust West London is appealing for a new home for a former stray dog who’d love a family to call his own in time for his birthday.
Caffrey was found in March and transferred to Dogs Trust from another animal welfare organisation, where he’s being cared for by the centre’s Canine Carers.
Dogs Trust West London Rehoming Centre Manager Richard Moore said: “Thanks to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery whose support helps to fund our wonderful Canine Carers, Caffrey has everything he needs whilst he’s with us. However, he’s coming up to his second birthday and we’d love to get him the best birthday present a rescue dog could wish for – a home to call his own.
“The gentle boy – who’ll be two in December – loves nothing more than sitting on your knee, despite his size! He’s an Old English Mastiff so he’s a big boy. He adores people and would love a home where he can be the centre of attention, due to which he would like to be the only dog in the home.
“Caffrey needs a home where he is able to stay downstairs, or where the home is all on the ground floor, as he can’t climb stairs due to his hips. He will need his own private and secure garden too. He could live with children aged 16 and over. Caffrey has been working really hard recently on making new dog friends and a home where he can have some calm walking buddies after successful introductions would be perfect for him.”
