Fish4Dogs has helped spice up support for the Cinnamon Trust since partnering up with the charity six months ago.
To help encourage customers to support the charity by helping to walk dogs for the elderly, Fish4Dogs has included 20,000 leaflets in boxes of food dispatched to customers.
Each leaflet features a web address that takes the user to a unique page on the Fish4Dogs website highlighting the work of the Trust and how volunteers can get involved.
The leaflets are also included in goody bags and samples, which are given out at shows and as pries to further raise awareness for the charity.
To date, there have been 436 unique visitors to the page of which 141 clicked through to the Cinnamon Trust’s website for volunteer registration.
Fish4Dogs team member Jo Bates has herself volunteered for the charity walking 14-year old Springer Spaniel Bertie for his owner, who is in her 80s and is no long able to exercise him.
Jo Little, Head of Marketing for Fish4Dogs, said: “We are really pleased to have sparked our customers’ interest in ‘holding hands’ with pet owners who need extra support, and in turn, help to keep them together with their loving pets for longer.
“The click through rate between our visitors and those clicking through to the Cinnamon Trust is very positive and hopefully many of our customers will be joining the Trust’s 15,000 strong volunteer network in the near future.”
