The team at Dogs Trust, the UK’s leading dog welfare charity, is appealing to dog lovers to join them in their February ‘99k for Canines’ sponsored walking challenge.
The days may be extremely cold and crisp or wet and windy, so Dogs Trust is hoping that knowing they are raising funds for rescue dogs will give dog lovers the extra motivation they need, to head outdoors throughout the month.
Dogs Trust Community Fundraising Officer, Tristan Lathey, says: “It can be difficult at this time of year to step outside when it’s cosy indoors, especially if you haven’t got a dog. We’re hoping this challenge will help people keep on the move in the dark winter days, whilst also helping us make sure we can give the thousands of dogs we care for every day, everything they need until they find their forever homes.”
Every dog taking part in 99k for Canines will receive a Dogs Trust bandana. To register, please go to https://events.dogstrust.org.uk/event/99k-for-canines/home
