Greg Fraser, Founder of The Bottled Baking Co., had always joked about launching a range of DIY bakes for dogs. So when April Fool’s Day came around, he saw it as the perfect opportunity to prank their 15,000+ followers.
April first is always full of ridiculous pranks from brands on social media, however for The Bottled Baking Co, this particular idea has turned out to be a potential award-winning success.
Doggy Baking Co. has made the final for Gift of the Year 2022 in two categories; ‘Pet Gift – Gift of the Year’ as well as ‘Under £15’ Gift of the Year’. This spin-off of the hugely successful Bottled Baking Co., provides pet owners with all of the dry ingredients to make doggy biscuits and treats, all in one reusable glass bottle.
Speaking of the nominations, Greg said: “We’re over the moon to be finalists for not one but two categories at this year’s Gift of the Year awards. It’s crazy to think that this idea all stemmed from a simple April Fools Joke and yet here we are 5 months later with a viable business idea which has been nominated for awards.
“Ever since we launched, our emails have been flooded from customers, new and existing stockists who want to try out or list our Doggy Baking Co lines. We can already be found in many farm shops, deli’s and garden centres across the country, as well as Fenwick department stores on the high street.”
