‘Dachshunds’ by Jane Eastoe. A uniquely illustrated guidebook to the massively trendy breed

A beautifully illustrated guide to Dachshunds, packed with tips and tricks to keep your furry friends happy and healthy.

This playful and informative book – written from the perspective of the dogs themselves – covers everything you need to know about the ultimate adorable companion while celebrating their affectionate personalities that demand attention at all times.

The Dachshund now ranks in the top 10 most popular dog breeds in the world. Their immense popularity is hardly a surprise; the German-born breed is renowned for their lively and curious nature, despite their small size, they’re brave, eager explorers, with their own charmingly cheeky side. However, there are many things to consider when bringing a Dachshund home for the first time:

  • How often should I walk them?
  • How much training will they need?
  • Am I overfeeding them or are the frequent gaseous emissions quite normal?
  • How do I manage separation anxiety?

Covering topics such as the puppy months, diet and training and advice on grooming, maintaining good health and identifying illnesses, this richly illustrated book follows on from Labradors, Whippets and French Bulldogs and is packed with adorable photographs of beloved pets and helpful day-to-day advice to ensure that your Dachshund is happy, healthy and as playful as ever.
