Pets at Home has released its much-anticipated advent calendar range for pets, with options for dogs, cats and small animals.
Packed full of tasty treats in a variety of flavours, the range has been specially designed to allow much-loved pets join in with the festive fun.
All the advent calendars in the range are free from artificial colours or flavours and all foil has been removed, making them better for pets and for the planet.
Dr Karlien Heyrman, Head of Pets at Pets at Home, said: “Our pets are such special members of our families and our lives really are better with them in it, so they deserve to be able to join in with Christmas traditions such as counting down to the big day.
“While we all want to spoil our furry friends over the festive period, it’s important to remember that lots of human food, including chocolate, can be dangerous for pets, so it’s best to avoid sharing your Christmas treats and get them some of their own to enjoy instead.
“There are a whole range of advent calendars to choose from, which are made with dog-friendly carob or meat treats and are a tasty and completely safe way to involve pets in the festivities.
“As with all treats, they should be given in moderation as part of their recommended daily allowance as a training tool or to reward good behaviour.”
