A five-year Foxhound currently at Dogs Trust Canterbury rehoming centre is looking for a new owner he can’t help falling in love with this Valentine’s Day.
The five-year old former stray is currently being cared for at Dogs Trust Canterbury Rehoming centre in Whitstable. Elvis loves learning new tricks, playing with his box of squeaky toys, a head scratch and most of all – a good sniff around on a long walk.
Dogs Trust Canterbury Rehoming Centre Manager, Harriet Blaskett, said: “Elvis has such a fun character and is also super smart. He loves to go for a long walks and, as quite a big boy, he’s strong on the lead so will need someone who can handle that.
“Elvis has been with us since December 2019. We hope that this Valentine’s Day he’ll find someone who wants to love him and never let him go.”
Elvis needs an adult-only home. He could potentially live with a like-minded dog but cannot live with cats. His new owner will ideally live in a rural location with plenty of quiet walking areas nearby, preferably within a 45-minute drive of the rehoming centre. A private, secure garden is a must too.
Harriet added: “Elvis will need to take his time to get to know you but with commitment to multiple meets and help from our behaviour team, his fun, affectionate personality will shine through and he’ll be your king of hearts.”
Dogs Trust rehoming centres are currently closed to members of the public, but people can still apply and they can start the adoption process.
