The Border Collie Trust is looking for a new site for their rescue centre due to the planned High Speed Railway development.
Plans for HS2 will have a significant impact on the rescue centre, resulting in the charity losing around a third of its land.
It became apparent that the construction phase of HS2 would make the use of their exercise area impossible due to disturbance.
Due to the impact upon the property and the dogs at the rescue centre, their current location is no longer suitable and they are now seeking a new location that meets the needs of BCTGB in the long-term.
BCTGB Trustees, said: “We have to focus on the achievements of the last 21 years, and with the experience they have brought us we view this as an incredible opportunity to bring that experience and knowledge to create and even better centre for the care of Border Collies.”
