Festive carols and songs will be sung by candlelight at the stunning St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge in aid of Canine Partners this December in the presence of HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO.
Purina , a long-standing corporate partner of the charity, is very proud to be the headline sponsors of this Christmas event. The service will take place on Wednesday 7 December 2022 and will include traditional carols, readings, and a special demonstration showing off many of the tasks that Canine Partners’ assistance dogs can perform.
“We are honoured to be joined by HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO at the beautiful St Paul’s Church in the heart of London. We hope our guests on the night will enjoy a truly festive evening that will also be raising vital funds for Canine Partners,” says Cat Harvey, Head of Fundraising.
“Not only is it a lovely opportunity to get in the mood for Christmas, but guests will also get the chance to meet and hear heart-warming stories of some of the people we support whose lives have been transformed by our amazing assistance dogs. Special thanks go to Purina – we’re so grateful for their continued support of our work, at this event and in so many ways.”
Canine Partners trains assistance dogs to transform the lives of disabled people, boosting their confidence and independence. The dogs are taught a range of everyday tasks including picking up and fetching items, opening doors and helping to undress a person. They can even help to load and unload a washing machine and they can fetch help in an emergency.
The event will take place between 6:30pm and 8pm, with doors opening at 5.45pm. Tickets cost £35 per adult and £15 per child (under 16), which includes refreshments.
