The Assisi Pet Care group, home to pet brands including Burns Pet Nutrition and Hi Life is embarking on a fundraising tour of Europe with the aim of raising £2,000 for the Blue Cross pet charity.
From 10th June, Assisi employees across the UK will be banding together as they prepare to virtually cycle, walk, and run a total 1,200 miles – the same distance from Assisi Headquarters, in Melton Mowbray, to the town of Assisi in central Italy. Over the month, employees will be logging their miles and steps via an app. The fundraising tour will also coincide with the start of National Bike Week.
Tour D’Assisi, named after Saint Francis of Assisi – the patron saint of animals, will see the proceeds of the charity incentive be donated to the Blue Cross to help ensure they can continue to offer veterinary treatment, finding loving new homes for pets, behavioural advice, support with pet bereavement and education for future generations.
