The RSPCA is appealing for information after three young kittens were dumped inside a plastic box down an alleyway in Feltham.
The cats, who are round 10-12 weeks old, were discovered in Danesbury Road, Feltham, West London, on Wednesday (12 February). There was no note left with the kittens and they had no food or water when they were abandoned.
The kittens were taken to RSPCA Millbrook Animal Centre in Surrey for some much-needed care and attention by Inspector Natalie Kitchen who rescued them.
Natalie said: “These poor kittens have been abandoned in a storage box and left in an alleyway. It’s difficult to know why they were abandoned, whether their owners could no longer cope, or they were an unexpected litter, but there is never an excuse to abandon an animal in this way.
“We understand that circumstances can change which means people may be unable to look after their pets but there are other options and help available to those who are struggling. If anyone has any information about how these kittens came to be abandoned, please contact the inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.”
The RSPCA rescues more cats than any other animal with more than 20,000 cats rescued by the animal charity’s officers each year.
The kittens, two boys named Sweeney and Todd and a girl named Lucy, were dirty and smelly when they came into RSPCA care, but they are now receiving some much-needed care before they are ready to be rehomed.
