Leading pet food and wellbeing company partners with dog behaviour specialist to help improve pet health and happiness

Rosyth-based pet food and wellbeing company, Bella & Duke, today announces a partnership with leading dog trainer and canine behaviourist, Nikki Mather. Nikki takes on the role as Bella & Duke’s consultant dog trainer and behaviourist, to help pet owners and Bella & Duke customers across the country give their pets the happy and healthy lives they deserve.

As Bella & Duke continues to educate on the benefits of a raw diet for pets, they have teamed up with Nikki to share her expert tips to help enrich the lives of pets and pet owners with advice on behaviour, health and nutrition on Bella & Duke’s pet wellness hub, podcast, and more.

Bella & Duke’s customers will now have unrivalled access to invaluable insights and guidance from Nikki. The collaboration promises to empower pet owners with practical knowledge to help them develop a deeper understanding of their canine companions’ behaviour, marking a significant step forward in Bella & Duke’s commitment to providing comprehensive support and resources to pet owners, ensuring happier and healthier lives for pets everywhere.

Nikki is the Founder, and Head Trainer and Behaviourist at Positive Steps Dog Training, and qualified dog trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), qualified canine behaviourist through the British College of Canine Studies and specialist separation anxiety behaviour consultant (SAPro).

Located within both the North West and Hampshire areas, Positive Steps Dog Training is a platform for dog guardians to work with their dogs to help nurture the unbreakable bond between dog and owner, using force-free techniques to ensure the relationship between guardian and dog is built on mutual trust, love, loyalty, and respect.

As well as sharing expert advice to help pets live long and happy lives, Nikki’s German Shepherd, Harley, will become a Bella & Duke tester, with her raw diet journey being documented across both Bella & Duke’s and Nikki’s channels.

Nikki commented: “Over the past 12 months I have been doing so much research into canine nutrition and how we can improve and prolong the lives of our dogs. So much of this always comes back to providing a natural and nutritious diet made with high quality ingredients. Our priority at Positive Steps has always been the welfare of our animals, and so it remains the most important focus whenever we decide to team up with another company. Bella & Duke share our values – that our pets deserve a life well-loved, and we should all do what we can to provide them with a healthy, happy, and long life. We can’t wait to help share advice to help pet owners across the country to achieve this – and I know Harley is delighted to help test the meals as she starts on his raw journey!”

James Sturrock, CEO at Bella & Duke, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Nikki to help not just our customers, but all pet owners, get the best advice possible to give their pets the happy, healthy and long lives they deserve. At Bella & Duke, we know no one dog is the same, be that when it comes to nutrition or training, but we are passionate about sharing the best information and advice possible so all owners can decide what is best for them and their pet. We’re excited to work with both Nikki, and her dog Harley, as we continue on this mission.”
